The economy markers come packaged loose or on rolls and they are made from high impact recycled styrene, giving them a smooth writing surface. They come in a variety of sizes too. The molded plastic nursery markers are a bit sturdier than the economy labels, and also made from recycled styrene. The thermal transfer garden markers come on rolls so that they are printer ready.
